What If?

As part of the buildup to Monday Night Football, ESPN's Ed Werder recounted a conversation with Tony Dungy about Maurice Jones-Drew. Dungy said that Indianapolis was all set to draft MoJo last year until Jacksonville took him two picks earlier.

Dungy said the Colts were shocked that Jacksonville took Drew, because they usually take such huge (tall) physical players. The Colts settled on CB Tim Jennings, but imagine how sweet a backfield of Addai and Drew would have been. And how it would have crushed Addai's fantasy value.

would you take welker for norwood?

Yes, take Welker for Norwood.

Here are my top 15 RBs if I were ranking right now, for the rest of the year:

1. LT - slow start, but no explanation or justification needed
2. Addai - although time-share is bothersome
3. Marshawn Lynch (check out how he's already done against good D's, then check out the rest of his schedule!
4. LJ - keeps improving every game
5. Westbrook - rec yds are huge
6. Peterson - worried about low number of touches and injury potential, but ride the train while you can!
7. Edge - another favorable schedule situation
8. Barber - I love his running style, and I have this hunch that JJones is fading
9. FWP - bugs the crap out of me that he's not getting TDs but still pretty decent yardage . . . and that's a good thing
10. SJax - obviously, many would disagree putting him this low, but we still just don't know about any injury recurrence AND the Rams stink, period.
11. KJ - This is my dice-roller. He obviously is the coach's pet in DET, and it's just so rare now to be the main back + receiving yds + goal-line guy in any NFL offense these days
12. McGahee - you could do a whole lot worse, but I'm still not quite 'sold' on him
13. Jacobs - yes, he seems fragile, but man is he huge and fast.
14. Frank Gore - I'm REALLY glad I didn't draft him in any of my leagues, but I still have to rank him in the top 15
15. Reggie Bush - obviously non-ppr rank here. The Deuce injury "vaulted" him up from potential bust to #15.

Honorable mention -- in other words, 16-20:

Clinton Portis
Shaun Alexander
MJD
Maroney
Rudi Johnson

Conspicuously NOT on the list - not an oversight:

LaMont
Travis
LenDale
TJones
Benson
Lewis
