What If?

As part of the buildup to Monday Night Football, ESPN's Ed Werder recounted a conversation with Tony Dungy about Maurice Jones-Drew. Dungy said that Indianapolis was all set to draft MoJo last year until Jacksonville took him two picks earlier.
Dungy said the Colts were shocked that Jacksonville took Drew, because they usually take such huge (tall) physical players. The Colts settled on CB Tim Jennings, but imagine how sweet a backfield of Addai and Drew would have been. And how it would have crushed Addai's fantasy value.

Jones-Drew as a Colt would indeed be sickening.
i'm amazed by his build. 5'6" 207 is just ridiculous - he is possibly the stockiest man i've ever seen. i'm 12" taller than him and weigh roughly 18 pounds more. and i'm no measly dude.
i have a hard time wrapping my noodle around the concept of a guy a foot shorter than someone who isn't fat at all with roughly the same body weight.
insane amounts of muscle packed onto that guy.

Right now Kenton Keith is still crushing Addai's value. Seems that the plan was for Addai and Keith to alternate series, but then Addai would get a couple of carries during 'his' and then jog off. Grrrrr.....

First, I'd like to thank Kenton Keith for vulturing a TD and preserving a win I did everything possible to give away (sitting Jacobs and/or LenDale for LaMont, sitting Stallworth and/or Lee Evans for Santana, playing Romo over Big Ben).
Second, Dox, you're 6'6" and 225 lbs? That sounds on the skinny side to me.

I wonder if he would even have been given the chance to put up the numbers he has if he would have ended up on Indy's roster. If he didn't have a couple of break out games last season he might be riding the pine as it is. I don't dispute his talent...it still surprises me to see him run like he does. But I think the fact that he's in Jacksonville is the key reason he has been given the opportunity to succeed.

Please help me Greg, or fellow blog readers. Who is more valueable? Earnest Graham or Jesse Chatman? Keep in mind that my playoffs are weeks 15/16, where graham plays falcons/49ers, and chatman plays ravens/patriots. thanks guys!

hey gregg, could you please do an updated cheat sheet on the top 15 or so running backs going forward for the rest of the season? kind of a "if the draft happened today" list?
it would be helpful for those of us who lost ronnie brown and are looking for a replacement.
thanks
