Typical Alexander
The Monday Morning Afters are up, with most of my thoughts on the Week 7 action.
I touched on Shaun Alexander's struggles briefly, but wanted to mention the conversation he had with Mike Holmgren on the sideline late in the game. It's what used to make Alexander a great fantasy option, but an overrated NFL player.
Alexander was frustrated by his personal struggles (19-41-0) despite the blowout Seattle win. He wanted to get back into the game to pad his stats in garbage time instead of resting. This was about his numbers, not about helping the team to win.
Alexander has 107 rushing yards (2.4 per-carry) over the last three weeks. Mike Holmgren doesn't have a lot of options in the rushing game, but you can bet he'll examine them closely in the bye week. I bet this is Alexander's last year as a primary carrier. What do you think?

alexander just played 2 of his easiest matchups of the season, at home, and couldn't do jack squat. now if you have some reasons for believing he can turn it around, lets here them.
otherwise, it just comes across as a baseless homer prediction.

Fair enough, TRAM...
I'm a 'money where your mouth is guy'... I'll bet anything you choose that Alexander does not have a game exceeding 125 yards and 2 TD's the rest of the SEASON.
Let's see just how strongly you believe...

Sammy Morris is 30 and he was performing. Aside from the obvious, how would you explain that?
Alexander appears to have gone soft. There were a couple of plays during the NO game when his legs just stopped moving and he went down.

because 30 year old RBs that don't have a lot of career carries have a lot more left in the proverbial tank than guys who have been handling 300+ carries per year for their entire career. see: Priest Holmes. was a backup until he was 28 or 29 then went off once he got a starting gig.
Alexander has 2104 carries in his career to Morris' 459. one-fifth the mileage = a much more reliable automobile, err, running back.

Well said Dox...
And either way 2 games from Sammy Morris is a poor example to the contrary.
