The Colbert Report

As frequent Pancake Block readers know, I have an unnatural obsession with all things Keary Colbert.
It is with great pleasure that Colbert led the Panthers in receiving Sunday with four catches and 74 yards, sadly his highest output in 42 games. 42! Jeez, maybe the Panthers have been too patient with him. Cobert was Carolina's best deep threat Sunday, catching a 43-yard pass (on Matt Moore's first NFL snap!), a 19-yarder, and he drew an illegal contact penalty on a long touchdown try.
Anyhow, just wanted to get this up for posterity. Something tells me Colbert won't have 42 more games if he doesn't crack 70 yards again soon.

I also was a fan of "Colbert" when I saw his tall-framed body powering over his defenders. Almost Randy Moss or Plaxicoish... but now with Delhomme out and Carr banged up, is there anything good left in Carolina? I wouldn't even accept a trade offer for my Chicago Defense for Steve Smith at this point.

How come there aren't 45 comments about Julius Jones today?
How about my sleeper of the week (and Rotoworld's 43rd ranked WR) putting up 100 receiving yards in the FIRST HALF yesterday? I think I should get promoted from Pancake Block commenter to Rotoworld weekly columnist.....

You know who else the staff of this website seems to have a man-crush on is Chris Cooley. Y'all have been talking him up all year and he's done little to deserve it. It's a good thing my wife didn't listen to my Rotoworld-influenced advice and dropped him for Dallas Clark...
