Bulger News is for the Best

As a Marc Bulger owner, I'm seriously relieved that Scott Linehan is pulling the plug on him, assuming profootballtalk's report comes true. It saves Bulger from his downward spiral, it saves Bulger from getting more injured, and it saves me from playing him. I don't know if the "old" Marc Bulger is coming back this season, but there is a better chance it happens if he gets some rest.
Sunday's showing against Dallas was depressing. The offensive line didn't help, but Bulger was gunshy, inaccurate, and making curious decisions. Perhaps by the time his ribs heal, the line will work out some of their problems, Torry Holt will have his speed back, and Bulger can be a decent QB1 for the second half of the season.
I wouldn't drop Bulger in any 12-team format, and I would pick him up if someone does. Bulger owners should wait for more news to emerge, but Gus Frerotte isn't a terrible option as a spot starter this week against Arizona if you need help. St. Louis' bye is in Week 9, and we don't know the timetable for Bulger's return.
Update: Bulger is only expected to sit a week or two. Even better news.

Comments
Please comment on the following: Regarding WRs, which is better, a WR who is QB's #1 or sole option, but QB and O-line is bad? Or a teams #2 WR but the QB and O-line are firing on all cylinders. e.g. Chris chambers/trent green vs patrick crayton/romo or greg jennings/favre?
So far i have done extremely well with tj houz, dunno if thats b/c johnson has each D's best CB or not....

Housh is a fantasy #1. And has pretty much out played CJ their last 10 or so games. He is probably a top 5 WR in PPR leagues. Chambers is better to have than Crayton or Jennings. James jones is just as good to have as Jennings, he has more targets the last 2 weeks.

Yeah but part of me does not trust trent green not to turn the ball over, and lose like, 3 or 4 offensive drive opportunities for chambers. forget about jennings, i'm more concerned about chris chambers vs patrick crayton. i'm also looking at the miami vs dallas schedule. Crayton/romo {assuming glenn stays injured} will be unloading on Bills wk 5, vikings 7, eagles 9 & 15, giants 10, jets 12, lions 14, panthers 16. whereas chambers/green only have 4 games they can tear up weak pass ds {browns 6, bills 10 & 14, jets 13}. The miami Offensive line will get dominated by Giants 8, eagles 11, ravens 15. To me, assuming crayton stays the cowboys' #2, crayton looks much better. better QB, better O-line, softer schedule..... What do you think Gregg? thanks.

Glenn could very well be back by Week 8 or 9.
