What about when Chester returns?

One of the Pancake Block commentors Jon, presumably an Adrian Peterson owner, asks whether Peterson will return to the bench when Chester Taylor is healthy.
Jon writes, "I've heard grumblings that AP has a tough time protecting the QB and lacks patience as an inside runner. Plus, his big game was against the Falcons."
Well, the Falcons did a fine job against Jacksonville in Week 2, so it's early to say their rush defense will be terrible. Jon is on to something in terms of protection. Mewelde Moore played extensively on third downs and in short-yardage situations against Detroit. Peterson probably would have been on the field if he blocked well and Brad Childress confirmed as much.
As Herm Edwards loves to say, though, let's not get it twisted (I promise to never say it again). Peterson was easily Minnesota's best offensive player in both games. He led the team in receiving both weeks. He's a rookie being asked to do a lot, and he's lived up to the hype.
Taylor may get to start when he's healthy (he was limited in practice Wednesday), but I still expect Peterson to get the most touches. That should mean roughly 15-20 touches, making him one of the better committee partners around, but not an every-week must start.

As someone who saw
practically every carry AD
had in college at OU, the
'patience' (and discipline
issue is an old one. He
was allowed to get away w/
it at OU and developed some
habits he'll need to shed at
the NFL level to be a great
RB.
Not taking on every defender
in his path would be
advisable to if he wants to
play more then 4-5 yrs.

Hmmmm...the big question. I picked Taylor up in the 10th round. I've tried to deal him to the crab that owns AP...he doesn't see the value. Check the news on Taylor...Coach says he starts when he's healthy. A split will occur...but it's not like Taylor is a slouch here. If AP has another lackluster day...look for Taylor to take a hefty load off his shoulders next week. Cancerous G...please note this prediction in the Book of Claims. That is all...

Since they don't have a quarterback and they don't have any receivers, they might as well use two running backs.

Gregg, I've been offered MJD/V-Jack for AP/Crayton...I have AP, and do need a better WR or 2. I have fallen in love w/ AP's potential and also worry about MJD's RBBC situation/VJs lack of production. As a rookie FFer, am I making a mistake by not selling high/buying low? I also have these offers:
S.Alexander(mine) for LJ/Curry
Benson(mine) for S. Moss

if you can trade shaun alexander for lj and curry... that's your best deal right there.
