Top Ten WRs Moving Forward
Wideouts and tight ends have gone mostly as planned this season, so my top tens for both positions won't look much different. Sure, Randy Moss has looked great and Lee Evans has started slow. But Moss wasn't exactly buried in the rankings (15th) and Evans has 13 games to get back to his established norms. Let's go.
Top Ten Receivers
1. Chad Johnson, Bengals - Tops to start the year, nothing has changed.
2. Steve Smith, Panthers - Johnson gets the edge because he has a better offense and better teammates.
3. Terrell Owens, Cowboys - Has head on straight in loaded offense.
4. Reggie Wayne, Colts - Bust proof.
5. Marvin Harrison, Colts - See Wayne.
6. Randy Moss, Pats - Could be number one, but still a bigger injury risk than the others listed here.
7. Roy Williams, Lions - Seventh or eighth all summer. Calvin isn't slowing him down.
8. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Bengals - Poor Bengals defense will help him.
9. Torry Holt, Rams - Explosion slightly missing, but numbers will be there by season's end.
10. Donald Driver, Packers - Pass-happy Packers and favorable schedule will keep him consistent.
Just Missing: Javon Walker, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Marques Colston, and Braylon Edwards. Andre Johnson and Plaxico Burress may have made it, but injury concerns knocked them out. The harder decisions would come if I did a top-30. Maybe another time.
The only major downgrades from our preseason top-40 would be for Lee Evans and Reggie Brown, and they can still bounce back. D.J. Hackett's injury would also knock him way down. We had Ronald Curry higher than every outlet, and it probably wasn't high enough. Same goes for Jerricho Cotchery, who appears to be taking the next step. The biggest upgrades deep on our old rankings would go to Brandon Marshall, Chris Chambers, and Derrick Mason. Devery Henderson and Jerry Porter were among those that look high in retrospect.

60% - sorry for the off-topic post, but i have a "real" football question.
what happened to Chris Perry? last i remember hearing about him was just before the season started, and the coaching staff had said he was further along than expected and might not be placed on the PUP list. and that's the last i heard of it.
is he on PUP or what? any chance of him resurfacing in 07?

No Andre Johnson? wow.

In a PPR league, I think Housh is in the top 4 for the rest of the season.
With the amount he's getting targeted, the fact that Chad Johnson keeps him from getting #1 CBs on him all game, and the fact that the Bengals don't throw to their backs or TEs much, he's almost certain to keep up a blistering pace this year.

I'm sure Andre is listed out of the top 10 because he's still going to miss a couple more games with the knee injury.

Gregg,
Not sure of the best place to ask this. With Rudi Johnson now ruled out for Monday, where would you rank Kenny Watson among RB's for the week?

Santana in the top-20, at least?

Hi Greg,
First off, not a Ocho fan and fail to understand how this guy ranks #1. Looking at the last few years, it seems that yes, he puts up some moster games but then again he also disappears in others. To me, that kind of inconsistency loses league championships.
WOuld it not be better to slot in Owens #1 or even Smith (assuming he isn't injured).
Thoughts?
