Surprises
Every NFL week is full of surprises; the ones early in the year just get more attention. Here's a quick list of players I'm watching closely this week.
1. Marshawn Lynch - After watching the Shortcuts of this game, I'm pretty sure he's for real. You can't teach breaking tackles. A good game against Pittsburgh would solidify his RB2 status.
2. Chris Brown - The Titans offensive line was fierce. Let's see if they can blow up the Colts.
3. Jaguars runners - Their offensive line got pushed around. Look for a better effort against the Falcons.
4. Saints offense - I know it was only one game. But I still want to see what they do against the Bucs.
5 . Raiders secondary - Detroit made it look way too easy last week. We'll see if they can solve Jay Cutler.
6. Seattle wideouts - One has to think Mike Holmgren will get them involved early against Cardinals.
7. Matt Leinart - Was it the 49ers secondary or Leinart slowly learning a new offense?
8. Marc Bulger - Life after Orlando. Again.
9. Clinton Portis - Showed no rust. Will Gibbs start to favor him in touches?
10. Trent Green + Chris Chambers - Miami's passing game was better than I expected. They have a chance for a big day against the Cowboys.

Gregg...
You mention Seattle's receivers... Who do you like more in a PPR while Hackett's out - Burleson or Engram?
Thanks!

As a follow-up, Burleson/Engram or Demetrius Williams...?
I'm having to scrape the bottom of the barrel with Hackett injured.
Thanks again.

Id go burleson this week. Bulger and Romo are closer now, but I'd play the matchups.

Gregg...
Burleson it is, then. Who gets the nod as my WR3 this week then - Brandon Marshall, James Jones, or Burleson?
Like I said, I'm really having to scrape the bottom of the barrel with Hackett out.
Thanks, as always.

so, with Pace going down, do you think that affects Bulger to the point you'd start Romo over him consistently?

You mention the potential for Chris Chambers to have a big day against Dallas. Would you dress him over Laveranues Coles going up against Baltimore?

I just noticed that Arnaz Battle is also sitting on my WW...
