Hello Pancake Blockers - been a while. My as-yet unnamed Monday morning wrap-up column is on the site and covers most of my key points from Sunday. Thanks to everyone for calling in to the show. I now realize blogging on Sundays on top of the show, news, and Season Pass recaps isn't going to happen. So Sunday will oddly be a day of rest on Pancake Blocks most weeks.

The 200+ player blurbs cranked out by our staff should tide you over.

Mondays we'll focus on game hangovers and all the pressers. In the meantime, take a peek at my favorite day-after column: Football Outsiders' Audibles at the Line.

Prior to the start of the season I had offered another team Ronald Curry + Robert Meachem for Braylon Edwards. What a difference a week makes...

Would you still trade Curry for Edwards straight up?

PPR league, btw.

Hey Gregg,
I'm in a PPR league, can I start Pittman, since Cadillac is out. My only other option is Betts. I am so screwed.

hey stephen,
gregg had said that curry is one of the top 20 best wr's in the league... and i don't think you can say that about edwards.
and as much turmoil as there is at the qb spot in oakland, there's even more in cleveland.
i wouldn't trade curry for edwards.

Thanks for your thoughts Matt.

I had Edwards ranked right around #20 going into the season and Curry closer to #30, but obviously week 1 changes the perspective a bit.

Touch decision needless to say...

I think I would pull the trigger on that trade! Oakland played a terrible lions defense. Also Quinn will be starting soon. It is all about match ups.

yeah... i guess it could be a toss up.
i'm not a braylon fan, i think he was overhyped coming out of college and his nfl career so far has lived up to that very same billing.
you say quinn will be starting soon like it's a good thing? not so sure about that. rookie qb's (especially ones that held out) will struggle... plus he plays for the browns.
at least curry has some semblance of a running game with jordan. lewis isn't looking good on that browns team.

i've been a curry fan since his b-ball days as a tarheel, and have been starting him in fantasy football since midseason 2006. i'm not claiming to be some type of seer, i was forced to start him last year when my receiving corps was decimated (fitz and stallworth, ugh).

anyways, the guy is a phenomenal athlete. 2 ACL tears had people scared for a while, but they're years in the rearview now, and he is clearly back to 100%.

i actually have he and edwards on all but one of my teams, but edwards is the lesser of the two. stick with curry and expect him to keep turning heads for as long as he's healthy.
