Leinart no longer slacking?

I think this article was intended to applaud Matt Leinart's work ethic last week.

But I can't be the only one that wonders why it took a terrible Week 1 performance and some nudging from his coaches and Edgerrin James to show up early and leave late. "There may have been a little bit of a nudge, yes," coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

"I put in time this week to really understand our offense and know where every one is on every play," Leinart admitted.

This week? Let's chalk this up to youthful ignorance more than confirmation of the work ethic whispers that have followed Leinart around.

The preparation appeared to pay off. I just finished watching tape of the Cardinals, and Leinart was much sharper than Week 1. Arizona didn't stretch the field as much as I'd expect, and Leinart had more poor throws than his numbers would suggest, but he got the ball to his playmakers.

Do you think there is cause for concern with Larry Fitzgerald this season? I drafted Fitzgerald and Boldin went on the very next pick. So far this season it seems like Boldin has been much more involved in the offence and it almost looks like Whisenhunt doesn't know how to used a player with Fitzgerald's skill set. I think he likes Boldin's type of receiver more as a physical possession receiver who can make the tough yards, while Fitz's more of a stretch the field type. Anyway, I'm in a PPR league where we start 1 RB, 2WR's, and a flex RB/WR. I am pretty stacked because of a great draft last year and this being a keeper league. I have Gore, Maroney (& Morris), Cadillac, DeShaun Foster, & Norwood at RB, and Andre Johnson, Fitz, Plaxico, Welker, & Curry. Do you guys think I should be looking to deal for another WR in case Fitz has a sub par season, or shoudl I just ride things out for a few weeks.

Really? Could you imagine having this conversation with your boss? "Eh, I finally did the work required to be successful. You're welcome!" Maybe I'll do it again next week. Big Gulps huh? Well, see ya later!

Gregg,

What is going on with Tatum Bell and Kevin Jones situation??

Re: Leinhart

It's ALMOST hard to blame
the guy. Damn near every
chick he meets wants to
sleep with him. I suspect
that at 21-22, with that
situation, we'd all
struggle with our
'work ethic'.

If you look in detail Fitzgerald was targeted 22 times in 2 games while Boldin was only targeted 15, so I am not sure there should be concern on Cory's end.
