Hot Seat: Matt Jones

Jones has three catches in two games, and his coach is publicly questioning his body language. I had Jones ranked quite high early in the offseason until a source close to the team in Jacksonville begged me off it because of Jones' reputation for laziness. I'm glad I listened, although he was still ranked too high from the looks of it.
Jones shouldn't near fantasy lineups at this point, but he should still be owned as a WR5/6 in most 12-team formats. He was second on the Jaguars with five targets in Week 2, and it's worth seeing if he responds to Del Rio's challenge.

Dropping Matt Jones last week gave me incredible peace of mind. I'm much better off with Drew Carter. Now the only Joneses I have are Brandon and Jacoby. And that's plenty. Though, I'd take Thomas if I could get him.
Maybe he improves the "body language" for a week or two, but unless Northcutt goes down, I'm staying away.

So based on this Matt Jones news, are you inferring that we should all trade Anquan Boldin for Kevin Jones and Santonio Holmes?

60% G, give us some blog love for how idiotic the Falcons look for:
A) failing to sign Leftwich as soon as he was cut
&
B) actually thinking brainless Joe Harrington could be an effective starter despite repeated failure

The Jags still look more idiotic for:
1) Not getting anything for Leftwich
2) Not upgrading at WR
3) Not using MJD efficiently
4) Using 1st round draft picks on people like Leftwich, Reggie Williams, Matt Jones, and Marcedes Lewis

Funny Tony. I would do that trade.

This isn't the first time that Jack Del Rio has challenged Jones. I don't expect him to respond. Even if he does, it will be for one week and he will go back to being the lazy receiver he always has been. All of this "tough love" for Reggie Williams this year in Jacksonville, but at least he's brave enough to catch the ball in the middle of the field and take a whoopin. Matt Jones can't even catch the ball.

Matt Jones is steaming hot garbage...pure trash.
They should cut this clown.
Hoooooray Jags - you've done terrible in the draft.
