Green Bay RBs grow murkier
Did anyone notice that Ryan Grant got the first three Packers carries of Sunday's game against San Diego?
Brandon Jackson started both halves and was used in the passing game more (playing well), but the use of Grant so early was surprising. It was even more surprising because he saw a second quarter target, then wasn't on the field again.
DeShawn Wynn, meanwhile, had the same third-down role that he performed in the second game. Jackson got the call on the goal-line late in the game. This is becoming a true committee and none of the above are options if the Packers are only going to call 11 running plays. We probably won't learn much more this week when Green Bay faces the stout Minnesota run defense.

Hey Gregg,
Would you mind commenting on the current value of Julius Jones? Barring an injury to Barber, Julius seems to have very little upside. Would you drop him for Dayne? Or Pittman in a ppr league?
I've thought about trying to trade him to the owner of Barber but the nature of our teams doesn't make that trade very doable (would probably take a nutty 4 for 4 exchange just to make the values line up).
Looking ahead to week 6 when I have Parker on bye and Julius is at home vs. the Patriots, the prospect of 4-6 points isn't very encouraging.

none of this packer info is good for me.
i invested in brandon jackson before the season in a keeper league... so i'm kind of stuck in the situation.

Since his days at ND, Ryan Grant has always been a failure. Why Ty yanked out Julius Jones for him in the USC game I'll never understand. In his senior season, I believe Grant was eclipsed by the speedier Darius Walker. Grant will amount to nothing as a Packer.
