DeShawn Wynn fever
In a quiet week for waiver pickups, DeShawn Wynn was going to be the most popular waiver pickup this side of Derek Anderson after his two touchdown performance.
Wynn is turning into a must-pickup after a pair of Green Bay area articles Tuesday morning.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reveals that Wynn's role will grow, and he was already taking more snaps than Brandon Jackson in Week 2. “Wynn flashed more big-play ability in his two touchdown runs than Jackson has in two months as the No. 1 back.”
The Green Bay Press-Gazette is even stronger: “DeShawn Wynn will get more carries at halfback this week and could displace Brandon Jackson as the Green Bay Packers' primary halfback.”
There are plenty of concerns about Wynn (I'll talk about them in Waiver Wired), but he's a lottery ticket worth buying this week. Brandon Jackson owners should be very concerned with Wynn, Ryan Grant, and Vernand Morency likely to start taking carries away.

Comments
Mr. Wynn, meet a pissed-off
San Diego D led by NT, Jamal
Williams.
Morency is the key to GB's
season. He's their most
talented RB and is the key
to GB's season. If he can
get totally healthy and get
back in the groove, with
that GB D, they have a shot
at winning 9-10 games.
Wynn will be a footnote in
FFL history a month from
now.

Kevin Jones you sound bitter, is it because you haven't played this year? When can we expect you to contribute?

The Green Bay rb situation has rbbc written all over it.
Stay away!
I don't know much about Wynn but didn't most of his yards come in one run?

Yeah, I don;t get it. All reports right after the game was "don;t get too excited. His yards/TD came in garbage time when Giants were not even trying." Now, two days later, Wynn is "the guy to get & is on line for big things." Nah. I think it's smoke & mirrors. Not saying Jackson is a stud in hiding, just saying Wynn ain't the next MJD.

Who knows what the sudden emergence of Wynn means. Seems like all you guys are down on him and I don't understand why. Jackson hasn't showed anything since he's been named the starter. A RB that has a chance to start is worth a waiver wire pickup isn't it? Not much to lose, might as well pick him up and see what happens...

Favre was really talking up Wynn in his interview with Pam Oliver even before the Week 2 performance.
Lay off the cheese fries Pam!

I think the point is not to get ahead of ourselves on this guy...
The Packers have the Chargers, Vikings, Bears and Redskins leading into their bye week so I would temper any expectations for a rookie 7th round draft pick RB who has played exactly two NFL games.
He may in fact get the bulk of the carries... and it may not matter.
