Cowboys vs. Dolphins matchups

This is a rare game where an NFC team is a road favorite (and by more than a field goal). The matchup features each team’s strengths and weakness facing one another. The consistent Miami defense under Dom Capers defense takes on the Tony Romo show. Dallas’ rag-tag secondary tries to survive against Trent Green’s still-forming pass attack.

QB: Tony Romo: Must Play - The Cowboys are a big-play team. With Yeremiah Bell out for the year, the Dolphins should be vulnerable to some.

RB: Julius Jones: Strong Flex Play - Miami knew Washington was going to pound the ball, and they didn’t exactly stop Clinton Portis. Still, Miami’s strength should be their rush defense. The Cowboys say they will use Jones around the goal line more often, so we’ll have to see if it happens.

RB: Marion Barber: Strong Flex Play - I don’t love either Dallas running back as a RB2 in this matchup, but they are worth playing as flex options.

WR: Terrell Owens: Must Play - T.O. is a strong choice for our “perfect picks” on the 100K most weeks because he’s the favorite to lead all wideouts in touchdowns. Miami doesn’t have anyone who can physically match up with him.

WR: Patrick Crayton: Solid WR3 - Crayton was a small disappointment last week considering the Cowboys scored 45 points, but there is no need to jump ship. He’ll get favorable matchups as long as Owens and Jason Witten are healthy.

TE: Jason Witten: Witten may benefit from Terry Glenn’s injury just as much as Crayton.

Dolphins

QB: Trent Green: Average QB2 - I am not expecting the Trent Green era to last long in Miami, but he was serviceable against Washington last week before trying to make Fred Smoot a hero at the end of the regulation. This is an offense with deep threats, though, and Green appears to have lost his fastball. Wade Phillips needs to blitz.

RB: Ronnie Brown: Solid RB2 - One of the toughest players to rank this week, but Jesse Chatman's injury problems makes Brown much easier to start with confidence. Jesse Chatman is a nuisance, but the matchup looks favorable and sometimes a fantasy owner has to have faith in his selection. Even if Cam Cameron doesn’t. Brown is a solid pro, but he has to prove it quickly to Cameron.

RB: Jesse Chatman: Must Sit - Lost in Chatman’s heavy workload last week was the fact that he didn’t run the ball well at all. He continues to be an asset catching the ball, but hasn't practiced either day this week. Lorenzo Booker or Patrick Cobbs will probably be active this week. Even if Chatman plays, his injury helps Brown out.

WR: Chris Chambers: Solid WR3 - Nice opener. He has a long way to go before scrubbing away the stench of last season, but his owners must feel encouraged. Dallas did not know how to handle Plaxico Burress last week, and Chambers is a similar player.

WR: Marty Booker: Sneaky WR3 - You could do a lot worse. Booker had an atypical drop last week, but this matchup is among the best he’ll have all season. I don’t see Chambers and Booker’s values differing much.

TE: David Martin: Poor Play - Killed a drive with a wide open drop last week. He has a high ceiling for a backup tight end in fantasy leagues, but that’s all he is for now.

Would you trade Cadillac and Crayton for Kevin Jones?

What about Cadillac and Crayton for Portis?

Brandon Jackson. Giants Run D is paper-thin

I would say no to the first option and yes to the second.

Who would you start at the flex between:

1) Braylon Edwards
2) Brandon Jackson
3) Cadillac Williams

Thanks for the thoughts on Booker!

I have 2 flex positions to fill with these 5 guys. Any thoughts?

1) Jamal Lewis
2) Donte Stallworth
3) Marty Booker
4) Mike Furry
5) Jerrico Cotchery

Thanks!

I just offered B. Jackson and V. Jackson for T. Jones. I'm in a PPR league and I need help at RB. My other RBs are J. Lewis, C. Brown, and D. ward and my other WRs are C. Johnson, R. Wayne, R. Curry, and P. Crayton. Is this trade good for me and if it is do you think it has a chance to go through? We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and a W/R and the guy has Westbrook, T. Jones, A. Boldin, Calvin Johnson starting each week but has to play one of these guys at his flex: D. Foster, M. Turner, T. Glenn, J. Horn, Craig Davis. I figure he might think B. Jackson has upside and is producing similar numbers to Jones (though I think Jackson loses the job to Morency when he's healthy) and V. Jackson gives him a viable flex player.

would start todd heap or heath miller

and would u start mariun barber or ahman green

Ronnie Brown or Brandon Jackson this week as RB2?
