Chris Brown
One player I left out of Waiver Wired was Chris Brown, primarily because I thought he was owned in all leagues.
But a few emailers tell me I'm wrong, and a little research shows he's available in roughly 40% of fantasy leagues.
I'll say this: No player surprised me more on Sunday than Chris Brown. Antwaan Randle El's performance can be chalked up to luck, but Brown ran straight through the vaunted Jaguars rush defense. I will watch the tape today hopefully to see what I can learn.
Brown has started a season fast before (2004), but wore down physically that year. That won't be an option this time because LenDale White will split half the carries. I just don't see Jeff Fisher going back to a veteran he dumped (and benched) last year for more than half the work. White should still be seen as the favorite to lead the team in carries for the year, no matter how many angry emails I get.
Brown has earned more touches moving forward for the next few weeks, and he deserves to be owned in all leagues as a reserve running back. You are doing great if he's your RB4. He's a passable RB3.

Gregg,
I need a RB2 as I lost both Jacobs and Caddy this week, leaving me with Addai and Lendale.
This is a non ppr league.
Who is the better wavier wire:
1. Chris Brown
2. Derrick Ward
3. Michael Pittman
Thank You

That is the exact order I would rank them for your team.
However, I also have LenDale and Cadillac (but not Jacobs) and for that reason, I'm inclined to bump Pittman ahead of Ward for mine.

Gregg,
Does Eli's injury allow me to trade Burress for a RB2 considering I lost Jacobs for 3-5 weeks, and Rudi Johnson is my RB1?
Who would be worthy of a Burress trade for RB2?
I grabbed Pittman from the wire. Both Ward and Brown were grabbed and subsequently stashed before I could take them.

My RB's are Steven Jackson, Brandon Jacobs, Lendale White, Vernand Morency & Ron Dayne. I need to pick up either Chris Brown or Derrick Ward to fill in while Jacobs is out. Do I pick up Brown or Ward this week? I have the #1 pick on the waiver wire.

Gregg--Who should I put in the flex spot, Chris Brown vs. Indy or Tatum Bell vs. Minnesota? Those are my only options other than Braylon Edwards.

You are incredibly wrong about Chris Brown.
Chris Brown all Pre-season performed slightly to far better on yards per carry than LenDale White.
LenDale White can eat up the carries until his stomache is full, Chris Brown will still match or best him in almost every game this season.
My league only had 1 preseason trade. It was Chris Brown for Lendale White.
I just told the team owner who got Chris Brown, that he probably insured himself a seat in the playoffs already.

Are you related to Brown or just his P.R. guy?
I don't disagree that he's the most valuable guy on the waiver wire. And, I wouldn't necessarily disagree that he could lead the Titan's in rushing this year...
But... you obviously didn't have his sorry a-- last year. This guy isn't carrying anyone to the playoffs (including the Titans) no matter what he does.
