Worst Draft Decision Ever?
Last Thursday, I witnessed the worst fantasy football draft decision I've ever seen. It happened in a league that I'm participating in for work. Tiffany Simons, Superhuman Intern David Bandermark, and I are representing NBCSports.com in the league.
It's the tenth and eleventh round turn, and one of the teams that is run by people that don't read Rotoworld is on the clock. With their first pick, the team takes Nate Kaeding. Groans erupt from the crowd. Way too early from a kicker.
Then the unthinkable happens. With their next pick, they take ... (drumroll) ... Jeff Wilkins. Silence. Shudders. Bile.
I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, throw something at the owners, or light up a cigar.
After much debate, the owners have been allowed to stay in the league and are recovering well.
It got me thinking: What's the worst decision/moment you've ever seen at a draft?

In 2005, I got really arrogant and said, before we knew our draft positions, that I would take Steven Jackson with my first rounder. This is before Steven Jackson was fantasy stud and more of a RB2/3 guy.
Well, it turned out that I ended up with the fourth overall pick. So, true to my word, I took Steven Jackson fourth overall, which really didn't turn out that bad. But I got made fun of plenty.

The worst draft day decision i'd ever seen was just this Sunday. The team with the 3rd pick in the draft selected Marvin Harrison. O.K by me I had pick #4 and after drafting Frank Gore last year I was more than happy to draft him again this year.

Daunte Culpepper in the first round the last two years.
I picked him really high the year after his BIG season -- also the year he shredded his knee. I was mocked all season long.
Then, last year, another dude who was doomed to repeat history, took Daunte in Round 1. He draws ridicule even to this day.
As you might imagine, by finishing last, he got this year's top overall pick.
Joey Harrington anyone?

We had a guy take Warrick Dunn in the 3rd because "He had Norwood last year and got sick of watching Dunn score all the points"

In a 2 player keeper league, the newb in our group keeps Ocho Cinco and Alexander (and lets Addai loose), then takes Palmer with his 1st pick, and Brees with his second (we only start 1 QB).
I will enjoy having Addai on my team.

First Year of my keeper league 4 years ago...one guy is takes Anquan Boldin (the year he was out for the season)...another takes Peyton Manning in the first...then Brett Favre in the 3rd. Same guy that season Keeps the Pittsburgh defense as on his keepers (we only get 2 players)
