Worst Draft Decision Ever?
Last Thursday, I witnessed the worst fantasy football draft decision I've ever seen. It happened in a league that I'm participating in for work. Tiffany Simons, Superhuman Intern David Bandermark, and I are representing NBCSports.com in the league.
It's the tenth and eleventh round turn, and one of the teams that is run by people that don't read Rotoworld is on the clock. With their first pick, the team takes Nate Kaeding. Groans erupt from the crowd. Way too early from a kicker.
Then the unthinkable happens. With their next pick, they take ... (drumroll) ... Jeff Wilkins. Silence. Shudders. Bile.
I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, throw something at the owners, or light up a cigar.
After much debate, the owners have been allowed to stay in the league and are recovering well.
It got me thinking: What's the worst decision/moment you've ever seen at a draft?

It was the year after Barry Sanders retired. One of the teams drafted him with their first pick thinking he was going to come back.

I see everyone bash taking QBs in the 1st round...but it all depends on your scoring setup. I can say, in mine, QB-RB-WR are all very close and we also do IDP...however they score much lower.
This year...a guy kept Vinateri as a keeper. We got on him pretty hard...then he goes and drafts Chris Cooley with his first pick...Cato June with his second and Devery Henderson with his third.
We've already appointed him Toilet Bowl winner...and guess what...he's already the back to back champ!

To the guy above...if he's your b2b champ, what does that say about the rest of you. hahaha
OK here's mine for this year (who can remember yrs past after all the beer) Our league is PPC, 6pt TD for every1, and PPR (10 teams QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, K, DEF, and 6 Bench). W/ the #6 overall...w/ the first 5 picks being L.T., S. Jackson, L.J., and P. Manning respectively...this dweeb took LAURENCE MARONEY! Not, F. Gore, S. Alexander, or C. Palmer...but a 2nd yr RB coming off shoulder surgery who just took off his non-contact jersey 4 days prior. Needless to say, I was able to get C. Palmer @ 9 because this kids brother took B. Westbrook @ 8. #10 ended up w/ S. Alexander and I was able to get FWP w/ my 2nd pick!!

In my league, we had a player Draft Bush with the number one pick over LT. Then he went on to mess-up his predraft, so when he left his computer after the 3rd round he ended up picking up Viniteri in the 5th Rd.

we had a pretty strange live draft last night... i got LJ at #7 which was a surprise... the painful thing is that we're in packer country, and it's always hard to watch people reach for their favorite packers.
case in pt, favre went #9 overall, jackson went in Rd 3, and GB Defense went in Rd 5... ugh.

We had a poor soul who was a victim of the hype machine in 2004. His first three picks were Quentin Griffin, David Carr, Joey Harrington. He didn't fare so well.
