What to Watch Tonight
Two games tonight. Here's what I'd look for, whether on television or in the game stories.
Jacksonville vs. Green Bay
* Can the James Jones magic continue?
* The Jacksonville wide receiver rotation. If Jack Del Rio was going to make a change, it's now or never.
* Can Brandon Jackson keep up his momentum from last week?
New Orleans vs. Kansas City
*Can Brodie Croyle play smart football? He would have to implode tonight to lose the starting job. Look for him to play at least two and a half quarters, so the Chiefs are giving him plenty of rope.
*Can Kolby Smith turn around a slow preseason?
* When is Dwayne Bowe playing? If he's not on the field with the first team now, he probably won't be in Week 1. The whole wideout rotation is worth monitoring.
* Who starts at receiver for New Orleans? With Devery Henderson hurting and Robert Meachem disappointing, it's a free-for-all.
* Who starts at tight end for New Orleans? We've read Mark Campbell still has a shot.
I'm out of here, probably for the night. Play nice.

Any chance we could get a kicker roundup, especially rookie kickers and how they are doing against the incumbents?

How serious is the injury to Marques Colston? Is he worth keeping in a 3 player keeper league if I only lose my 10th round pick for him now that he is having the knee problem?

I would move Jamaal Anderson up a bit in your rookie IDP rankings, he should have a lot of sacks considering the amount of time he'll be on the field due to the ATL offense futility. But hey, what do you people from Wilbraham, MA know? Especially those who attended birthday parties for Pete Burch.

What would be considered to high of a pick for Matt Schaub? I still remember him tearing up the Pat's secondary when Vick was injured a couple of years ago. And Steve, what do you know, didn't you go to college with Greg's roommate?

in answer to a couple of the questions, Jackson has looked exceedingly average and has been dancing far too much in the backfield for a one-cut zone blocking scheme.
Greg Jennings isn't invisible. I can see him, and he's play is absolutely wretched.
Jones has made a couple of rookie mistakes (holding the ball loosely after a nice catch thinking he had open field, when Mathis caught him from behind and popped the ball loose, and bumping into Driver on a crossing route).
No new news regarding the Jacksonville receivers. They're still putrid.

....and the James Jones show continues.
If Driver's injury turns out to be serious (and possibly if not), this guy is going to be The Truth.
