Preseason Week 4
I started the day saying that tonight's 14-game slate won't have too much fantasy implications. But, in an effort to justify watching some live football tonight, here are a few key things to look for.
Clinton Portis - Plans to take a few snaps in his first live action since October 2006.
Oakland quarterback battle - Josh McCown, Daunte Culpepper are still battling.
Tennessee skill players - Curious to see if LenDale White, Roydell Williams play with first team.
Carolina second receiver - Check out if Keary Colbert starts again.
Tampa second receiver - A position battle that's still going on. That said, David Boston had a huge Week 4 of the preseason last year before getting cut.
Saints receivers - Marques Colston, Devery Henderson return to action.
D.J. Hackett watch - Make sure he's starting.
Your fantasy teams - No injuries, no injuries, no injuries.
Good luck and thanks for watching the live show today. We'll get a link up tomorrow.

Comments
Gregg -
i just read about the FF "Celebrity" league you're in on PFT - Florio is right, that's one hell of a line-up.
do you guys have an agreement on who will be covering the league, or do i get to read about it on here?

I know the preseason is meaningless, but is it time to downgrade Marshawn Lynch? Including the first half of tonight's game, the guy has carried 22 times for 37 yards this preseason. In addition, Anthony Thomas is going to get some work, and Willis McGahee made it clear in his parting shots that the Bills O-line is below average. I'm staying away.
Also, let's not forget that Clinton Portis was only in for "a few snaps" last year and mangled his shoulder. Since then he's had many comments on how he shouldn't need to play at all in the preseason. He was never going to play tonight. Can you imagine the ridicule on Coach Gibbs if Portis got injured tonight? There was never a chance.

Portis said it himself after he practiced Monday. i think it was...
"Hopefully I showed them enough that I ain't got to play Thursday."
or something to that effect.

Portis isn't play tonight.

With the Seahawks starting their backups (ie - Burleson), does this mean that Hackett has the #2 spot locked up...?
I have a trade on the table where I send away Braylon Edwards and don't want to do it unless DJ can safely slide into my WR3 spot.
Thanks!
