Potential Bust: Darrell Jackson

Darrell Jackson is finally practicing again, but early reports aren't overly positive. From Instant 49ers:

Darrell Jackson figures to be the likely starter at split end. He seems to be holding back a little, perhaps because of the toe injury that plagued him from the end of the season through the offseason. There is some question whether he'll be able to hold up.

Figures? Likely? We love Matt Maiocco 49ers blog, and feel like he's telling us something with his wording. Don't forget that Jackson is playing a new position (split end instead of flanker). Remember, there is a reason Seattle was willing to dump him for a fourth-round draft pick to a division rival.

We're staying far away in fantasy leagues because of Jackson's durability concerns and the fact he's joining an inferior offense. All those drops will be noticed when he's not getting ten targets a game.
