Holt Answers
One thing is certain about Torry Holt's uncertain knee. His fantasy owners are freaking out. Rotoworld b-ball guru Steve Alexander is annoyed he kept Holt over Terrell Owens.
Nilesh Majmudar wants to know if Holt will play Week 1.
I would assume so, yes. I think some of Holt's comments are out of frustration, but he's been on the field in the preseason. He's not going to miss the first game. It's also worth noting Scott Linehan said Holt looked improved the last few days.
Jean Hanna wants to know how Holt's production will affect Steven Jackson's production, possibly with more check-down passes.
I think projecting that far ahead is a stretch. The Rams still have quality wideouts in Drew Bennett and Isaac Bruce, and like I said, it's likely Holt won't even miss any time.
Other readers have asked if Marc Bulger, Drew Bennett, and Isaac Bruce are affected.
Again, I think it's too early to project a huge impact. I would give Bennett and Bruce the slightest bump, but I still think Holt leads the team in targets by far.
I see a lot of trigger happy owners out there, guys emailing me because they want to cut Devery Henderson for Jacoby Jones because Henderson sat out the third preseason game. I love Jones, but Henderson is still the starter for an explosive offense. Take a deep breath and trust your projections. Everything is going to change in a week, and this long, slow preseason will just be a memory. Hopefully Holt's knee injury will be as well.

Good effort in trying to do a little damage control about this whole situation Gregg, but it has now become unstoppable. If you haven't been reading all the posts to your last update, read my quote and then check it out. "I'm not going to do do what you all think I'm going to do, which is just FREAK out!!! Now who's coming with me?"
