Focus on Cowboys
First let's see how the truest committee in the league is being drafted.
Marion Barber: RB24, fourth/fifth-round
Julius Jones: RB30, sixth-round
We don't know that much more about this situation now than we did when Wade Phillips was hired. The owners hoping Barber would take the starting job have been disappointed, and his ADP has steadily dropped because of it. I'd take Jones over Barber straight up even though the roles look to be the same this year. For a sixth-round RB3, you aren't going to do much better.
Terrell Owens: WR5, second/third-round
Terry Glenn: WR33, eighth round
Patrick Crayton: WR71, 16th round
For the love of possession receivers with great hands, draft Patrick Crayton people! I don't care if you are in a deep league or a PPR league, although Crayton is even more attractive in both. Take him as your fifth or sixth wideout. Crayton is going to be a solid WR3 every start he gets, and it's starting to sound like Glenn will miss Week 1. I would be happy to land T.O. as my WR1, but he's hardly a lock to play 16 games as well.
I've seen Glenn going later in drafts than this lately, often in the eleventh round. That's about right. I wouldn't give up on him like a Derrick Mason because Glenn will produce if he's on the field.
Jason Witten: TE9, round nine
I think we get a little too bored with consistency in fantasy football. Witten's last two seasons: 66 catches for 757 yards, and 64 catches for 754 yards. The touchdowns will return. He's a steal this late.
Thanks for reading today. Be back in the morning before the live show

Won't Jason Witten lose looks to fellow TE Anthony Fasano? He sure did last year :(

glad you recognized Witten - in my 14 team league that drafted sunday, witten didn't go until the 15th (after Owen Daniels and David Martin!?)
i usually refrain from criticizing people's picks, unless it's absolutely ludicrous. i couldn't keep quiet. i said, in all caps, DANIELS AND MARTIN BEFORE WITTEN????
and i was told by my good friend Rob that Witten had done nothing in this league, and that i only liked him from his UT days (i'm a big Vol fan).
i still want to slap him in the mouth.

Thanks for the info on Crayton, he's actually available in one of my 14 team leagues. This brings up another question, can you explain a little more about how we should value Chris Chambers? I know you don't like him all that much but is he even worth keeping if someone like Crayton is available? I also have Brandon Marshall and Kevin Curtis as my reserve WRs. But generally where would you rank Chambers? A poor WR3 or lower?

Just looking at some outside opinions. 14 team league, 14 players 10 starters, 2 Rb, 2 Wr, 2 WC, 1 TE. Here is the catch 1 PPR for WR and TE only. I've been having a debate that our scoring makes getting 3 solid RB for important than getting 3 WRs. I understand your #2 WR will out score the #2 Rb in this format. I draft 12th, the spot where all the best RBs are GONE, IF T. Henry falls that far I plan to take him if not I'm thinking SMITH and HARRISON? Thoughts?

I'd be curious to see what some guys think about the RB situation in Dallas this season.
I've read everything from Jones will get some more goal line work this season to Barber will continue to be the more productive back & get more carries.
I guess we'll see!

Thanks for the info on DAL...I am in a 10-team league that starts 3 WRs/TEs (your choice) and got Glenn in Rd 12 (I had 10th picked, snake style)...question is, do i dump him? pick up Crayton? Curry?

Greg, you could not be more right, in my draft 2 weeks ago- Todd Heap went at #36 OVERALL! while TE's Chris Cooley to me at 81 and Witten (105) went so much later. TE is NOT a priority because people simply don't get it when drafting. My league is a salary cap league so that affects somewhat where people get drafted - but the Todd Heap at 36 pick in an extremely deep TE field almost made me fall out of my chair - now that i am done rambling - you can tell i agree - WAIT and draft a TE like WITTEN!
