Brandon Jackson takes step back
No player has yo-yoed more than Brandon Jackson this month. He's sitting out practice Monday with an "upper body injury," and will probably sit out Thursday's preseason finale as a precaution. That's not a huge concern, but his middling effort in preseason game 3 was.
The offensive line struggled to make headway against bigger defenses like Pittsburgh and Jacksonville, with 18 yards on 11 carries. This line from the Green Bay Press-Gazette was worth noting.
"Though Jackson might end up being a good back, he hasn't exhibited any special running talents to overcome blocking shortcomings."
We're back where we started on Jackson's fantasy value. There will be some good, and some bad. His talent level is a question. The entire offense is a question. Jackson is the heavy favorite to lead the team in carries, but there will be a committee of some sort. Rotoworld has him pegged in the sixth round, and that still feels right. He's a good RB3, but I'd take most of the veterans available around him first.

They are saying jackson could miss his first game? What is up with that. Do you think this will happen? He is my number 3 but was looking forward to him doing well and unloading him! Are mild concusions that bad? Do you think he has a chance to start in week 1? This is bad news for me. Also do you think I should pick up wynn? They say he is really good at blocking and has basicly the same skills as jackson but a bigger tougher runner!

i know it's a concussion... but what kind of a panty waist describes a concussion as an "upper body injury?"
that sounds like a soccer injury to me.
