Alexander drops
Couldn't blog during the first drive, but it wasn't surprising to see Shaun Alexander drop a pass. The guy simply has never developed receiving skills. He fell all the way to 12 catches last year, and there's no reason to think he'll improve this year.
That's why I don't want any part of Alexander in the top-five of my draft. Just way too much downside. I'm surprised more touts and fantasy owners don't agree.
Seattle on their second drive, Alexander and Hasselbeck are already out. Viva Viagra!

Yeah, I want no part of Alexander in my top 5 either. Dude turns 30 in a couple weeks.
Interestingly, though, Seattle has the second run friendliest schedule in the league, after Jacksonville (just finished my RB analysis).

they could be playing my old high school team's run defense... i'm still not going with alexander, unless i'm in the 11 slot. otherwise, he's too old, and he's coming off a surgery to one of his wheels.
i guess it's been talked about enough, but i'm with you. i see people taking him in the 3 slot, and i just can't believe it.
maybe i'll be the heel when he has a pro bowl season, but it's like the entire fantasy world has learned nothing from the past with running backs and age and injury.
