Who's Done?
The Man who ate Pittsburgh
ESPN has already cornered the lucrative “Next” and “Now” markets, so we wanted to get ahead of the curve. Here’s a look at the recent fantasy football heroes who are already done.
Rotoworld’s Done 2007
Quarterback
Aaron Brooks: Between 2002-2005, only two fantasy quarterbacks finished in the top eight point scorers every season: Peyton Manning and Mr. Brooks. After the half-hearted debacles in New Orleans and Oakland the last two years, A.B. isn’t getting a sniff as a starter. Fair enough. But he’s got to be better than half the backups in the league. Brad Childress, I’m talking to you.
Jake Plummer: The Bucs like Jeff Garcia and all, but they have been practically begging The Snake to return from his grueling Handball schedule to return to the NFL. They are threatening to take away his signing bonus money, so Plummer needs to retire officially or make a “comeback” soon.
Drew Bledsoe: Was it only a year ago Bledsoe was getting drafted as a top-12 option? Sorry about that. Teams will keep calling Drew to be a backup, but he’s through.
Running Back
Domanick Williams (Davis): I’ve received a lot of emails about this guy over the last year. Keeper leaguers, it’s time to let go. Viewed by some as a top-ten fantasy option only a year ago, his knees probably won’t let him play ever again. At least he got his long-term deal before all the surgeries. Charley Casserly gifts keep on giving!
Priest Holmes: Still on the Chiefs roster, although it’s hard to figure out why. He has a spinal cord injury and shut it down almost two years ago. He’s not coming back.
Duce Staley: I went through some of our old magazines for this list and saw Staley ranked as our RB16 going into 2004, just three spots ahead of Charlie Garner. Staley ate himself out of Pittsburgh. Now the backups to Willie Parker are Najeh Davenport and Kevan Barlow, two candidates to be on our “Was” list next year.
Corey Dillon: The only running back on this list that could help an NFL team, only he doesn’t want to accept a reduced role and contract. If he wasn’t stuck in Cincinnati during his prime, I think we’d be talking about Dillon as a legitimate Hall of Fame candidate.
Lee Suggs: Suggs finished 2004 with three straight 100-yard games. Who could have guessed he’d only carry the ball 14 more times in his career?
We won’t drag out our list for a month, but we will drag it out for another post later today.
Update: Looks like tomorrow AM. Contain yourself.

QB's
Billy Volek used to be the Matt Schaub of the league when he was in TEN. Now he's a back up no one ranks.
Drew Henson keeps getting
chances but doesn't look like he will ever be a starter.
Kurt Warner was ranked in the top 15 last year.
RB
Curtis Martin still trying to come back.
M. Faulk still talking about it but has accepted his fate.

Wr Reche Caldwell- never a superstar - but after watching him drop balls in that conference game vs Indy....who but NE would want this guys?
GQ- great point about Volek.
Wr Joe Horn - 1 year with Joey Harrington and Horn should call it quits.
QB Mark Brunnell - too many better, young arms in the league.
RB Corey Dillon- ran like he wieghted 400 lbs. last year.
TE Marcus Pollard- should have never left Indy?
WR Brandon LLoyd - his agent is a genious.
WR - Antwan Randel El - DITTO
TE - Kyle Brady - he has frying pans for hands? - Another idiotic NE signing.
RB - Priest Holmes? - let the Kolby Smith era begin KC (after trading LJ of course)
RB Domenic Rhodes - probably won't be in the NFL after this year.
WR Rod Smith - great career - but its over.
QB Joey Harrington - after the first 6 games - let the DJ Shockley era begin in Atlanta.
WR Michael Clayton - did he catch "mike williams" disease?
LB's Junior Seau and Chad Brown - c'mon guys - enough is enough (didn't Seau already graduate?)
