Who's Done? (Part two)

Eric Moulds is suddenly done

Our first installment of Who's done didn't inspire as much outrage as Who's Now, just apathy. But we solider on with part two. In fact, we'll be updating the list throughout the year as a final resting place when fantasy football veterans fade away.

Wide Receiver

Charles Rogers: The weird thing about Rogers’ suddenly done career is that he actually looked like a great prospect in his rookie year before breaking his collarbone. But he appeared to lose all confidence after breaking it again before his second season and stopped working hard.

Eric Moulds: A great example of a player who rapidly declined being healthy. Moulds, 33, was hardly a breakaway threat, but he caught 81 passes in 2005 and was a decent third receiver in PPR leagues. After a vanilla year starting in Houston last season, no one wants to pay him.

David Givens: Sad story for an overachiever. At least he cashed in before a series of devastating series of knee surgeries last year with the Titans. He’ll probably make a comeback and get on the field for the Titans again, but the odds on him making an impact again are slim.

Peter WarrickAlways was a better NFL player than a fantasy option anyways.

David Boston The opposite of Peter Warrick. Still trying to make a comeback with the Bucs and has a chance at a roster spot. But he’s caught four passes in the last three seasons. Give up on him.

Tyrone Calico: One of those guys Fantasy Nation always irrationally believed in as a sleeper despite any evidence to back it up.

Johnnie Morton: Not appearing at a MMA arena near you.

Tight Ends

Erron Kinney: The old Bo Scaife!

Boo Williams: Oh man. The most painful glance through our old magazines for this exercise was viewing our 2004 tight end rankings. Top five is mostly familiar – Gonzo, Shockey, Heap, Crumpler. Except for number four – Boo freaking Williams! He caught 33 passes that year and wasn’t seen again.

Zach Hilton: The poor man’s Boo Williams.

Bubba Franks: Might make the Packers, but is no longer expected to start.

Kickers

John Carney: Wrote perhaps the best thank you note to the team’s fans and organization I’ve ever seen despite getting released.

Note:The Who's Done committee will be accepting all submissions for future candidacy.

QB- Daunte Culpepper. He's only two years younger than Jake the Snake and one year Aaron Brooks' junior, and arguably less effective than either.

RB- Mike Anderson. Consummate overachiever. Well, for one season, anyway.

WR- Keenan McCardell. Done.

TE- Jermaine Wiggins. He illustrates just how fast "Done" can happen: Went from 71 and 69 receptions in '04 and '05, respectively, to buried on the Jacksonville depth chart in '07.

I'm submitting a few names for the "Who's Done" list. Some may not agree with some names...what I say to that is, the truth hurts sometimes. Here we go, in no particular order.

Derrick Mason -- Much like Moulds, getting older, younger guys stepping in.

Eddie Kennison -- See previous, & he's got QB issues.

Ashley Lelie -- 'nuff said.

Peerless Price -- Seems as if he needs Bledsoe to succeed, scary.

Nate Burleson -- Other than '04, never did much, just hype.

Warrick Dunn -- Fantastic career, but with Norwood there, Dunn is well, Done.

Domanick Davis (Williams) -- Damn injuries!

Stephen Davis -- See previous, except add a few more exclamations.

Duce Staley -- Where do I begin???

Marcus Pollard -- Maybe not yet...I guess he could revive himself in SEA...but sure isn't going to last long before rigamortis sets in.

Bubba Franks -- What happened???

Jake Plummer -- The snake got his head chopped off.

Aaron Brooks -- Insert your own here ____________!!

Mike Vanderjact! how he disappeared.

Antonio Bryant

Brian Finneran

good lists. Burleson was on my list at first. Mason on my list of busts but not saying hes quite done until he loses starting job. Good calls on vanderjagt and finneran.

So you're saying that players who are no longer on NFL teams won't help my fantasy squad? Thank you. You are an insiteful professional. I will continue to read your articles.

hey angry... read the tone of the post before you sound off for no reason. taking cheap shots that are unwarranted just makes you sound like the faceless attacker you are... no backbone.
not every post of every blog is going to say "this is who you should pick up and this is who you should start." that blog would be interesting for about a day.
it's your right to simply NOT READ. why not excercise it?

Gregg, Bubba Franks signed with the Jets on March 16th. Not that he's going to be a factor there with both Baker and the rookie on board, but that's his team now.
