McNabb gets no respect!
There is dumb, and there is aggressively dumb. This Philadelphia Inquirer article proposing that a Donovan McNabb-for-Lance Briggs trade is possible before the season is the latter.
The line that got me was, "The question most Eagles fans are asking right now is: Why would the Bears make that deal?"
Huh? Briggs is a good system linebacker with one year on his deal. McNabb is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Any GM would make that trade, and they would throw in a first-day draft pick with Briggs to get it done.
Trading McNabb before the season would also be giving up on 2007 before it started. It couldn't possibly be a consideration. McNabb can seem a little sensitive to the criticism sent his way, but has reason to be paranoid.
Not many storylines from their only mandatory minicamp this last week unless you are an Ingle Martin fan. Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers participated more than expected, but they aren't fully healthy yet.
James Jones is the early favorite to be the team's third receiver. Bubba Franks could be headed to the bench in favor of Donald Lee, so you'll want to stay away from Packers TEs in fantasy leagues.
Vernand Morency vs. Brandon Jackson for the starting running back job was put on hold because Jackson had to attend a rookie event for the NFL. Morency added ten pounds of muscle in anticipation of seeing his workload increase.
"I'll be fine. I'm a beast, so I'm looking forward to it," Morency said.

you are an idiot to type such a thing about mcnabb. first of all the fans love mcnabb and know the season depends on him. you are not from philly so dont make statements just because you see a headline in the newspaper
