Lots of links today, many from this morning, and a few tasty leftovers from the holiday weekend.
I crave information, basically anything related to football. There is a line, however, where it all becomes too much. Finding out how many beef sticks Tank Johnson eats in jail crosses the line. Do people really care about this?
Jeff Garcia and Jon Gruden have had a crush on each other for a while. This probably won't end well for either guy. Or Chris Simms.

The other man
This is the type of ridiculously positive article you expect on a team site. But since it's about Maurice Stovall, a player I own, I'm eating it up. The kid may struggle to stay healthy because he runs so upright, but he looked like he belonged last year.
Speaking of team sites, it was pretty surprising to see ChicagoBears.com declare that Michael Okwo is more talented than Jamar Williams. Okwo remains the long-term favorite to take Lance Briggs' job.
Any article that ends with a player wanting to get a mullet is going to get a link here. Although Jared Allen has a long way to go to match this one.
The Boston Herald has a trio of sad articles about Marquise Hill today. The story about his fiancee did a nice job painting a wider picture of the man. One gets a sense that Hill's attitude and personality was a big reason the Patriots were so patient with him as a player.
Roydell Williams appears to have the early lead for the starting wideout spot across from Brandon Jones. A veteran could also be signed. Williams flashed a bit as a rookie, certainly more than Courtney Roby, but was invisible in his second year. Within the same article, there is news that David Givens may not play this season.
Jeff Fisher basically apologized for calling out LenDale White yesterday. He was with his grandmother, who just got out of intensive care. So we apologize too! White should be back with the team today, and we still think it's a good idea to buy low on White this summer.
I'm pretty excited for the new season of Law and Order: Denver Broncos. This story is way too convenient for me. Profootballtalk.com has been all over it.
In the same article, we learn that former Dolphins reject Eddie Moore is currently the Denver strong-side linebacker. Moore was a symbol of the fruitless Rick Spielman era in Miami, but perhaps he'll be another successful Broncos reclamation project.
Anyone interested in the future of sports in New Orleans should read this interview with departing Tulane Sports Law chief Gary Roberts. He's probably the leader in the Sports Law community around the country and was influential with many aspects concerning the NCAA. Losing him to Indiana is a big loss for my alma matter, and the interview is fairly sobering about the future of pro teams in the Crescent City.
