Arcade Fire
Here's a fact that has nothing to do with football and you probably don't care about: Many of my favorite musical artists have been releasing albums this year at a dangerous rate for my sanity.
Results have varied from disappointing (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), to inconsistent (Ghostface Killah), to enjoyably solid (The Shins). After all the excitement, it's good to know there is still one Next Great Band that truly is. I'll be listening to Arcade Fire twenty years from now.
The new album started circulating last week. While bleaker lyrically than Funeral, it's amazing.
Their Saturday Night live performance topped off the week. Intervention and Keep the Cars Running weren't among my favorites on the album, but they are intense live.
While I'm on the subject, here’s an older but goodie.
We'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming with the last day of the Combine Tuesday afternoon.

I'd also highly recommend Field Music's "Tones of Town," Spoon's "Gagagaga," and Iron & Wine's "The Shepard's Dog."
